The RED - Air Asia
Hello peoples :) Today another blogpost again... I wish to cover my previous unhappy post.. Please forget the previous post ok ? Some peoples ask me to share about my job scope or how's cabin crew work ? This post just sharing through my experiences, so let's enjoy The Day of being a Flight Attendant(Sorry peoples, what I sharing is about Air Asia, not other airlines)
Wake up at 3am in the morning, bath, make up, change uniform, tie my hair and had my breakfast.. I done all these in just 1 hour(You can imagine by looking at my photo above, my make up and hair are such a sh**) hahahaha~
4am depart from home, usually my father or my boyfren will fetch me to KL Sentral and I'll take Skybus to LCCT.. The journey from my house to KL Sentral is about 15-20 minutes, and from KL Sentral to LCCT is about 45 minutes to 1 hour. So I will reach airport before 6am.
Reach the airport, going up to the office and 'Sign On'... You may ask what is 'Sign On' ? Sign On is to click a 'Report to Duty' button through the office computer to ensure you report your duty on time or you are late or missing in action~ While signing on, note down all the flight details today. Where I flying to ? Who I flying with ? Which is our aircraft ? Where is our aircraft parking ? What is the name of the airport ? CIQ ? and many many more... This is why we need to reach office earlier to prepare our flight. Normally I will report my duty at least 15 minutes earlier than my reporting time. So that I can do my things slowly and pack my foods from the office lounge.
Enter the aircraft, check our safety equipments.. Different working position has different safety equipments that need to check... The infant life vest, infant seatbelts, extension seatbelts, oxygen bottle and many more~ After finish checking, ensure all the safety equipments are up to standard, then we need to report the safety equipments to our SFA... SFA will have to report to Captain. Then we start to welcoming our guests...
Boarding in the process then finish boarding, we need to count our passengers onboard using telecounter to ensure the correct amount of passengers, no extra, wrongly boarded passengers... Then we close and lock the doors. Ready to fly now... Secure all the things, checking the cabin, make sure all passengers fasten the seatbelts, seats upright, stow back the tray tables, window shades fully up and handphones switch off! Then ready for the safety demo :) After that, report to SFA 'cabin is secure for take off' and SFA report to Captain and now we are taking off!
After take off and waiting for the seatbelt sign to goes off... Once the seatbelt sign goes off, start to set up our carts. Snacks side and drinks side... heating up the meals and ready for the sales of foods and beverages. After the service of foods and beverages, rubbish collection then start to sell our merchandise, souvenirs and duty free items :) After that, its our happy hour time... Selca time, chit chat and eating LOL...
Before landing, triple chime and seatbelt signs on.. check the cabin again make sure all secure for landing and report to SFA as well :) Now we are ready for landing... After landing, and it's time to say goodbye to our passengers :) After all passengers disembark, we need to clean the cabin and ready the cabin and waiting for boarding again... Until the last sectors.
Last sector before landing, we need to close our carts to check how much is the sales for that day :) and that's our commission for that day hahahaha~ Close carts, replenish the toilets, clean the cabin for the next set of take over crew... Then we heading back to office again for our de-briefing... SFA will point out if we did anything wrong or highlight anything that happen onboard.
LAST, finish the day and go back :D
That's a day of a AirAsia normal Flight Attendant(Not SFA) XOXO~ Hope you guys like this post and do leave some comments if you like it :D
